BYZANCE ARABIANS AND PERFORMANCE HORSES
We are devastated by the loss of our stallion Unbelievable ERA + AU who had to be put to sleep the 17th of November 2006 after he suffered severe colics. He was proud and fight to the end to keep going. We chose him to be our foundation stallion because of his exceptional qualities and high class breeding. He would have been a very successful show horse and top endurance stallion. He will be dearly missed. Our tall purebred Arab mare Dawn foaled a stunning filly to Billy to continue his legacy.
Unbelievable was a stunning individual of world class pedigree and spectacular movements, a horse with substance and tall stature, the epitome of a breeding horse for halter and performance show horses.
His sire, international Champion Om El Shareikh (Sanadik El Shaklan x Samanna), was bred at the U.S. stud Om El Arab, an exceptionally beautiful first class 16hh stallion but also an extreme athlete, boasting a heart score in excess of 140. His dam, Joda Bashaar top producing Champion mare, is by Simeon Sanegor (exp.USA), Champion Stallion in Australia and U.S., endurance leading sire, producer of multiple performance and show Champions around the World.

We have been unable to find a suitable stallion. The special stallion that we are looking for has not been bred yet anywhere in the world.
In the years to come we will breed selectively with the best bloodlines until we get what we really want.
We have had for a very short time a cremello pinto stationbred on lease and we have to say the experience has been very disappointing.
Fortunatly we have been able to breed our mares with the top quality stallion Denmark's Platinum Playboy, American Warmblood Saddlebred imported from the USA to New Zealand by Lee and Ian Wynne Jones from Onewerre WOWfactorhorses stud. "Denny" as he is known, is a rare cremello stallion standing at 16.2hh and guarantee palomino or buckskin colour foals from non grey mares. We have found the experience so easy and the owners have been so helpful that the breeding season is a breeze and stress free. We are really enjoying the peace of mind of not having a stallion for the first time in 5 years. We don't have to worry about running the mares and sometimes the foals with a stallion as breeding is done by Artificial Insemination. The fact that the stallion is only 30 mn away from our stud is very convenient. We love so much "Denny" and the stunning foals he is producing that we will continue to use him in the future over most of our mares. We share Lee and Ians' ideas that the American Saddlebred is a breed with tremendous potential as performance horse and the cross with different breeds in New Zealand can only improve the competitiveness of the New Zealand Sporthorse, notably the cross with Arabians called the National Show Horse which gives size and more stamina for endurance and Warmbloods to add refinement and elegance for dressage as well as scoop for jumping, also the ideal package for eventing.
We will also use the other Onewerre WOWfactorhorses resident stallion Waikonda O'Indiana, American Spotted Draught imported from the USA which progeny are surely making their mark in New Zealand and proven very popular crossing with a large variety of mares.
